CERIFLEX: 50 YEARS OF ITALIAN HISTORY, DEDICATED TO THE ART OF SLEEPING
The Merafina family, a family of artisans, founded Ceriflex in 1966; in time, it has consolidated its position, up to becoming today a well-established company.
It all began with Riccardo Merafina, already part of the artisan activity of iron making and textile trading. Thanks to his craftsmanship and with the help of his son Antonio, he created his first mattresses in a small workshop in Cerignola, Italy; from that moment on he has started developing good ideas for rest and comfort.
Starting from making handcrafted mattresses, almost completely handmade with real wool, Antonio Merafina, with the great support of his wife Dipalo Maria, has continued down that path set by his father Riccardo, by first creating the brand Dipalflex, for the production of mattresses sold on the national market and later the brand Ceriflex, nowadays famous worldwide.
A vast heritage of knowledge and experience, handed down from one generation to another, has been expanded over the years with the technical and organizational support of his son Giuseppe Merafina (currently CEO of Ceriflex S.r.l.). Using new technologies and selecting natural, innovative and technological materials, he has contributed to the development of Ceriflex, allowing it to become a global leader in the production of high quality mattresses.
